Salem Conference Center, Salem, OR

The Salem Conference Center is a full city block of structural concrete in downtown Salem. The 102,000 SF footprint consists of one level of below grade parking with a post-tensioned concrete slab above. The west half of the block will be the three-story conference center with the east side being a hotel. When the project is complete, roughly 8,000 CY of concrete will have been placed. 40-foot high, 32-inch thick, architectural concrete shearwalls rise from ground floor PT slab to the 3rd floor above. The schedule is aggressive as the City of Salem is planning a New Years Eve gala at the center to ring in 2005.
